Mobile phones – advantages and disadvantages
Mobile phones are an amazing invention of the current century. It was not affordable for everyone, and only the upper class or businessmen actually owned it. But for now, life without a mobile phone seems impossible. Nobody can imagine a life without a cell phone. Many people don’t even leave their homes without it. Regardless of age, people all over the global village are addicted to mobile phones.
There are thousands of reasons behind its popularity in such a short period of time, but mainly due to the fact that cell phones are no longer considered as a mere handset but have turned into a technological device that offers various technologies such as GPS, music player, PDA, and much more. To stay competitive, almost every week, manufacturers around the world introduce a new model with upgraded features that better fit your lifestyle.
A large number of people find it a convenient way to interact with others. With the touch of an eye, you can connect with anyone around the world. Nowadays, mobile phones are constantly being updated allowing you to enjoy a wide range of new features. Depending on the mobile phone model, you can now easily watch TV on your device, can play a large number of games, can browse for information from the Internet, can receive or send email, can send or take 3D photos, keep balanced tracks of important meetings and appointments via reminders, store a huge list of contacts with full description and much more.
In simple words, a mobile phone is a need for every individual. Nowadays, necessity has also turned into fashion. People choose expensive mobile devices to impress others. Each phone has the option to “Customize your phone” with which users can easily modify the phone according to the environment or taste.
You will come across many such parents who give their children a cell phone. This is not because they want to provide their children with new technology but the main reason behind it is their safety. A mobile phone can prove to be the best source of protection in an emergency.
Everything has its pros and cons, and the cell phone also has its drawbacks. Here are some of the disadvantages of a cell phone:
1- Health Issues: Recent research indicates that radiation emitted from cell phones leads to blurred vision, earaches, headaches and can lead to cancer.
2- No Privacy: If your cell is out of place in some way, it will lead you into some difficulties; Unless you have set strong passwords that cannot be easily broken using software.
3- Cell phone and driving: Mostly accidents happen due to negligence and the main reason behind it is using the phone while driving.
Disadvantages of using a cell phone aside, its positives are simply innumerable. These advantages have made people addicted to the cell phone.
