↑Leica M9 (CCD Lives! – Prosophos Open Letter to Leica) + Leica 50mm Summilux ASPH.
This one should go in “the book”.
An image of longing. Of belonging. Of not belonging.
Yup, gandering sums it up pretty efficiently.
Oh, yeah. The “Fluid” logo? Perfection.
Pretty sure you saw all of this in real time. Being able to review the image after the fact/after the shutter actuation gives one the chance to put it all together. The genius of your work is that (and I am pretty sure this is true) you pre-see it, make the image, and allow the rest of us to see it at leisure and with the benefit of contemplation time.
A searching curiosity + a treasure trove of life experience + excellent technique/expertise + generosity = your blog.
Thank you again for teaching me (and others) how to see more clearly.
Which, as I have mentioned, should be in The Book.
Karen, you give me too much credit. It’s true that I am at a stage where I “pre-see” many things, but much of what I produce is rubbish!
The blog marks my progress (or lack there of) as a photographer and documents life around me so in that sense it is a selfish endeavour. If it also happens to help a few people “see” things from a different perspective then that gives me great satisfaction.
And as for that mythical book of which you speak, it is just that… mythical.
