Perhaps with the M8 1/8000 the ball would be fully sharp but it’s ok
1/4000 is enough to freeze this… But I’ll leave it to you to figure out why the ball may look blurry… if it’s ok.
Well, a baseball one would run faster than a tennis one. I don’t figure out how much thogh but it must be better focused than the first wooden pole and it isn’t.
…the best tennis balls can run 60 m/s, so not even 1/8000 would freeze them (spin excluded)

I see H has a little Ty Cobb split grip action going on here. Unusual for a low ball power hitter… or, given her other sport interests, maybe it’s an adapted slap shot. 🙂
Fun ones, Peter, this and “Stormy”.
Thanks Greg. It won’t surprise you to learn that the two images were taken in the same outing. I just thought the “Stormy” one was a little more “different” and posted it first as my preferred image.
Good observation re: the influence of her other sport of interest.
I think we should really delve into the specifics of ball speed and action on the ball… 🙂
Nice work! (as usual)
