—REM, It’s The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine).
Bye, bye… Leica.
A TLR! Of course! I should have known. 😉
I have one (a Seagull). It’s a shame that I don’t use it more.
Looks like the logo of Red, a disruptive company. Could that be the manufacturer of the mysterious CCD camera? Did HAL play a part in its design?
“Open the pod bay door, Peter…” 😉
I love that line/moment in the film. In fact, I love that entire film.
If I understand situation correct, its not the end, but new beginning. On the other hand, following your blog for some time, end could be temporary. 🙂 Now, to other topic – why minolta?
Well, the new somewhat greyed out header looks like a Minolta Cds1, so named for the coupled meter cobbled onto the top. Brief research shows Minolta to be one of the oldest (first offered circa 1937), longest running Japanese producers of TLR cameras. It’s said they vie for that distinction with Mamiya, which was the only one I knew about. I think of Minolta as a big innovator in SLR’s, but apparently also in TLR’s. Cool.
