Anticipation, Part III.

Continuing my exploration of photographing kids’ sports with 50+ year old Leica M cameras.

Anticipation, Parts 1 and 2 were posted last week and can be found here and here.

And here’s another example from a few days ago.

50+ years old and still producing beautiful images! With this in mind you could ask yourself compared to today’s technology, how big the improvements are. Or maybe even better, Leica already figured out 50 years ago what the recipe is for producing great IQ:-)!

Part of the IQ chain is the “sensor” and people often forget how much technology went into developing the various films. The best part of film photography is you’re rarely tempted to “upgrade” your camera (although the desire for more lenses remains :)).

Anyway, as you know, I use – and very much appreciate – digital cameras, so for me it’s not an either-or proposition… the film medium and digital medium are equally embraced.
