Whiskey, whiskey, whiskey.

Whiskey, whiskey, whiskey
Water, water, water
Sleep
Whiskey, whiskey, whiskey
Wake up, shake it off
And repeat

…Dreamed somebody missed me.

  1. greg g49 says:

“Well, show us the way/ to the next whiskey bar/ oh, don’t ask why/ oh, don’t ask why..” “Alabama Song”, The Doors, 1966, (Bertolt Brecht/Kurt Weill 1927/1930, originally recorded by Lotte Lenya, Weill’s singer wife circa 1930)… so Mr. Mayer (one presumes) does not write in a vacuum. (I knew the Doors bit, but as for the rest: wikipedia is a treasure trove.) :-)

PS. You may have said this on the site somewhere, but I’m old and feeble minded: are you in the never crop camp? cause if this were mine (ha, I should be so good) I’d crop it tight left and top and (given my perceived take on the origin of the underlying music) at least looked at it in b&w.

      Thanks Greg!

In answer to your question, I won’t hesitate to crop, if it will improve the original composition. The framing here is how I envisioned it, although I understand why you may be tempted to crop.
